Advocacy

Breadcrumbs

RSL Queensland offers a free advocacy service to help navigate DVA claims. Making a DVA claim for a condition or injury received during your service can be confusing and time-consuming, but the advice and support of a qualified advocate can take the guesswork out of it. Currently, the Deception Bay Sub-Branch cannot provide an Advocate to assist with Disability Pension claims etc. We suggest that members seeking advocacy assistance contact Redcliffe, Pine Rivers or Caboolture-Morayfield Sub-Branches.

Graeme Alley, RSL Queensland Head of Veteran Services says that there are four main benefits of working with an advocate.

  1. The advocate acts as a guiding hand
  2. The advocate has specialist knowledge
  3. The advocate will offer a holistic approach
  4. The advocate is on your side
